It was still nice to get out and watch the first morning of the year start with Denver as a backdrop

By being low to the ground the footprints leading towards the building became my central focus to place the viewer in the scene itself and lead them towards the decorated City and County Building

like the transition of two panels of the car brings a natural or permanent line into the frame

With just some clouds in the sky the stars are visible as they begin to show their motion with this length of exposure

On this morning with the difference in temperature between the water and the air steam formed right at sunrise but soon burned off as the sun climbed in the sky. Just as I was about to leave this location, a flock of birds flew into the frame for a few seconds which I was able to capture.
